This future HAX Homes project is envisioned as a refined interpretation of simple Hamptons living—elegant, relaxed, and grounded in timeless coastal principles. The design focuses on clarity of form, soft detailing, and a light, breathable material palette that feels welcoming from first approach.
The façade is composed with classic Hamptons proportions, featuring painted weatherboard cladding, crisp white trim, and a symmetrical gabled roofline. A light-toned metal roof reinforces durability while contributing to the clean, coastal aesthetic. Subtle masonry elements at the base provide visual grounding and texture, balancing the lightness of the upper form. Deep eaves, covered porch elements, and traditional window proportions reference heritage coastal homes while remaining distinctly contemporary.
Internally, the design is centred around softness, warmth, and everyday comfort. Pale timber flooring establishes continuity through living spaces, paired with white or soft off-white cabinetry finished in a satin or matte sheen.
Shaker-style joinery is intentionally understated, aligning with the enduring trend toward classic detailing executed with restraint. Brushed brass or champagne hardware introduces warmth and a quiet sense of luxury without overpowering the palette.
Material selections are intentionally layered. Natural stone benchtops in light, honed finishes add subtle movement, while handmade-look white tiles introduce texture and depth. Soft loop-pile carpets in neutral tones are proposed for bedrooms, enhancing comfort and acoustic calm. Fixtures and fittings are chosen for longevity and tactility, favouring simple profiles over decorative excess.
